A great pair of jeans is a magical thing. It’s a reliable friend and a tireless multitasker — ready to deliver comfort and style, whatever the occasion. But finding the right pair can be tricky: Jeans have to fit properly, feel good, hold up to frequent wear, and — most critically — make your booty look its best.

Since 2023, Wirecutter’s style team has tested nearly 70 pairs, suffering through gaping waistbands, comical lengths, sagging bottoms, and more.
