When wall-mounting is done right, a TV looks super sleek, and mounting your TV is typically much safer than setting it on a stand, especially if you have kids. There’s no shame in paying a professional to handle your wall-mount installation, but it is a fairly straightforward project that even a modest DIYer can accomplish in about an hour.

Choosing a good wall mount certainly simplifies the process, and a little preparation can go a long way toward avoiding a mess, hanging a TV crookedly, or ending up with an entertainment space cluttered with cables.
