We recommend the Asus ProArt P16, which has an accurate 4K OLED display and fast processors that handle big 4K exports better than the competition. If you prefer Macs, the Apple MacBook Pro with Apple’s M4 Pro processor was a bit slower in some of our video-editing tests and weighs about a pound more, but its M4 Pro chip is quiet and energy-efficient, and it has a display that you can use outside on a sunny day.

The more budget-friendly 15-inch M4 Apple MacBook Air has a superb display for a laptop of its price, as well as a processor that’s easily capable of editing 1080p footage.
