This Fits-Any-Body Jumpsuit Is Going Viral in Wirecutter’s Office

In The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, one pair of jeans miraculously fits an entire group of friends. The book and the subsequent film are fiction, but they may as well have been fantasy: Women’s sizing is a minefield, and there is no way the 5-foot-10 Blake Lively would fit into the same pants as the 5-foot-1 America Ferrera. It would be unbelievable for even one style to suit them both.

And yet, sometimes truth is stranger than fiction. Or so it seemed when we — staff writer Dorie Chevlen (5-foot-5, size 0) and editor Christina Colizza (5-foot-10, size 12/14) — realized we were both wearing Big Bud Press jumpsuits, on opposite coasts.

For many years of our friendship, we shopped together, offering immediate (and necessarily brutal) feedback in poorly lit dressing rooms across Manhattan. But after Dorie moved to Los Angeles a few years ago, the tradition mostly died. So it felt all the more miraculous that around the same time last year, we both wound up in Big Bud Press stores, buying the same jumpsuit (Dorie’s in size XXS and Christina’s in size L).

The Nugget Is the ‘Original Play Couch.’ Costco’s Version May Be Better.

If you’re a parent of a child under 10, you’ve probably heard of The Nugget, the beloved play sofa that launched a thousand (well, at least 20) competitors. I’ve only recently discovered the category; but now that my eyes are open, play-cushion sets seem to be everywhere — even at Costco. I’m inherently skeptical of any product that claims to solve a need that I’m unaware of having.
