Do You Need a Different Moisturizer for Summer? It Depends.

Weather often inspires the products in people’s lives. Many folks swap out cozy quilts for linen, lightweight sheets, or they pull their sandals out and pack away their boots as the days lengthen and warm. But just how far do you have to go? Your skin-care routine is one area that you may not have considered ripe for seasonal swaps, but there is one area that could use some weather-matching: face moisturizer.

To be clear, not everyone needs to use a different moisturizer for different seasons — and if you feel perfectly satisfied with your face cream, then you certainly don’t need to change anything. But after speaking with two dermatologists and two cosmetic chemists, we learned there’s a pretty strong case for some people to edit their moisturizer to match the seasons.
